A lifelong resident of south-central Iowa, Candra graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English with a minor in journalism from Simpson College in 2012, and has an associate’s degree in accounting from Southwestern Community College.
Candra has worked at Clarke County Publishing since October 2013, starting as an office manager and transitioning to news editor in April 2022. Her role as news editor requires maintaining a professional network of contacts from local government officials to local business owners and citizens, building relationships founded on trust and integrity. Her reporting varies from local city council meetings to high school sports to human interest pieces and everything in between.
In her free time, Candra enjoys reading, puzzles, gardening, and spending time with both her human and feline children.
As the principal owner, Candra oversees the strategic direction of Iowa SCS, ensuring that our procurement solutions remain aligned with our clients' long-term operational goals and fiduciary standards.

A lifelong resident of the Osceola area, Brett attended Clarke Community Schools with the class of 2010.
Brett has more than 18 years of operational experience in the fast-paced environment at Lakeside Hotel Casino. He has developed a comprehensive background in everything from bussing tables to food and beverage management to large-scale procurement and logistics. As Warehouse Manager with Lakeside, Brett dedicates himself to bettering the company by optimizing systems and creating efficiencies in day-to-day warehouse operations.
Brett oversees vendor management and customer communications. With a focus on process optimization, he ensures that every engagement meets the highest standards of reliability and compliance.
